B-Yachts B-60

Brenta Yacht Design B60
The B-Yacht 60 Foot Sailboat
Any experienced yachtsman will tell you that one of the best ways to enjoy the open sea is on a sailboat. And the best way to do that is on a great sailboat. Though escaping the busy working word to the calming waves of the ocean is a rejuvenating trip no matter how you take it, it can be altogether life altering when taken on a gem like the amazing B-Yachts B-60.
The largest in the B-Yachts line of sailboats, a massive vessel, 60 feet in length, the B-60 is a sailor’s dream— the perfect balance between beauty and function.
Only recently launched for its first official trip, the B-60 was subject to a short trial sail in Kiel, Germany, where it was built by Knierim Yachtbau, before it was off to Porto Cervo via St. Tropez for delivery to the lucky owner and crew. Sure to be more than pleased with their purchase, the owners of the B-60 will find that their vessel is absolutely a breathtaking one, the perfect blend of sailboat and private yacht.
Designed by Luca Brenta Yacht Design, a company that has been mainly involved in the design of large, sophisticated sailing yachts, the B-60’s design philosophy, with high performance in mind, was simply improved style and ease of sailing technology.
To aid in the perfection of the boat’s performance through the use of the latest technologies, Luca Brenta Yacht Design opted for the use of Pre-preg epoxy carbon fiber in the construction of the B-60, using the SP SE85 Pre-preg system.
Other additions to the B-60, in terms of technology, that lend to its superiority on the seas, are the mast, which is constructed of carbon high modules by Hall Spar USA; the rigging, which is composite from Future Fibre UK; the hydraulic package, from Cariboni; the deck gear, which is custom light grey anodized by Harken USA; and the sails, from North 3DL, in Denmark.
Controlling the B-60, though it may seem like an arduous task, is as effortless as the gliding of the boat along the water. The greatest example of high technology on a yacht made for sailing, steering maneuvers are handed both via the steering pedestal buttons and via a wireless unit, ensuring that while aboard, whether you are at the helm or not, you will truly be able to enjoy every aspect of your journey.
Though the technology on the B-60 is both extensive an impressive, the crowning jewel that makes it a truly special vehicle for enjoying the time on the ocean is simply its flawlessly crafted deck and interior. Developed by the John Pawson office of London, with lighting design by Isometrix, the concept of the interior was to match the clean, narrow lines of the hull and large sail areas on the outside with a sense of cleanliness, simplicity and quality.
Conversely, the layout is certainly a spacious one for a sailboat, with a master cabin and two guest cabins, each with their own restroom. In the open main saloon, there is also a galley and navigation area. Additionally, cockpit space is abundant and luxurious, with two large sofas on which to relax at sea.
Colors too, aid in the easy leisure of any of the up to six B-60 passengers. A calming scheme of white and beige drape the boat’s interior and exterior and other surfaces, such flooring and sofas, are covered with exclusively selected Canadian larch wood.
An incredible machine, the B-60 is the ultimate vessel on which to sail. It is both beautiful and technologically advanced. Sure to provide endless special memories for its each and every passenger, this B-Yacht is indeed a special one.
